SHARON LEE SNOW

 

Born in Denver, Sharon Lee Snow was raised in Youngstown, Ohio and California. She has an MFA in fiction from the University of South Florida in Tampa where she teaches first-year composition and professional and technical writing classes. She is the published author of short stories, creative nonfiction, and poetry.

Her poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, and interviews have appeared in Thimble Literary Magazine, New Plains review, South 85, Typehouse, Gulf Stream, Quillkeepers Press, Typehouse, Glassworks, Blood and Thunder Journal, Hole in the Head Review and other journals.

Her short story, “Afterburner,” was the Fiction Contest Winner of the Gulf Stream Magazine Summer Contest in 2017 and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

After raising two sons in Alabama and Florida, Sharon and her husband, Mike, are learning how to live as empty-nesters with their extremely spoiled Scottish Terrier, Maggie May.
